Rashid Centre for The Disabled organized a special Ramdan evening for people with willpower and their friends at Al-Jawhar Hall in Mina Al-Salam in Dubai. The evening, which coincided with Zayed day of humanitarian work, included people of all public and private departments and institutions. The evening was attended by Sheikh Jum'ah Bin-Maktum Al Maktum, representative for Rashid Centre for The Determined Ones, Mariam Othman, executive director of Rashid Centre for The Determined Ones, Sheikha Hind Bint-AbdulAziz Al-Qasimi, head of the UAE International Business Club. During the evening, it was announced that the name of the center was changed into "Rashid Centre for The Determined Ones." This is in line with the announcement of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, on changing the name of people with disabilities into "The Determined Ones." The event was also attended by Mr. Samer Sayegh, general director, Sami Sayegh, and Mrs. Noha Sayegh. His Excellency the general director received a certificate of appreciation and gratitude presented for the late Saleem Sayegh. This was for all he gave to centers for people with disabilities, for the love he instilled for philanthropy, and for instilling the principals of equality and brotherhood.
